Sojin Park
I am Sojin Park, a software developer who loves new knowledge and experiences.
I like Kent Beck’s saying, “It can always be better.” I want to learn more and be able to do more. I try to quickly grasp the essentials and turn what I’ve learned into habits.
I want to share what I learn with others. I believe in the power of writing as a means of organizing and conveying thoughts efficiently. I like to organize what I’ve learned into a well-structured form. Recently, I’ve been practicing visualization to communicate information more effectively.
I’m deeply interested in creating change in individuals and organizations. I believe that results rarely have just one cause, and that we should look at the whole rather than the parts. I’m learning various ways of communicating, including coaching, motivational interviewing, and nonviolent communication.
I like minimalism, and I think subtracting is harder than adding. I’m drawn to products that are simple yet well-made. I believe design should start from the customer’s problem, and I always try to keep the importance of craftsmanship in mind.
I have a strong will to master languages, and I’m proficient in English and Japanese. I believe knowledge should spread regardless of language, and I want to improve the quality of Korean translations.
I’m interested in branding for both individuals and organizations. Online, I go by the handle raon0211.
On my days off, I run, visit good restaurants, take walks, drive, or read books at cozy cafes. I have experience living in Toronto and Tokyo.
I enjoy traveling to places with exotic natural landscapes, and I’ve visited Egypt in 2023 and Iceland and Scotland in 2022. My favorite city and travel destination is Tokyo.
I participated in AC2 cohorts 44 and 45.
I currently work at Toss as the Head of Client Engineering, covering Frontend, iOS, and Android.
