Two-Factor Theory
The factors that create satisfaction and dissatisfaction are independent of each other.
For example, the things that create motivation at a company and the things that erode it are different.
- An appropriate level of work difficulty, recognition from those around you, and an environment where you can work autonomously give people motivation.
- Low job security, low pay, poor working conditions, and poor benefits strip people of their motivation.
